Player Interview with A.J. Green – ESPN/Under Armour All-American Game

.
A.J. Green out of Summerville High School in South Carolina is one of the top WR’s for the class of 2008. Out of all the video that I have seen this year, I’ve always felt that A.J.’s was the most impressive. After the ESPN/Under Armour All-American Game, I had a chance to talk with Green.
“It has been a lot of fun, it’s been a good experience for me going against a top level of competition”, Green said of the week long experience. The WR’s on Green’s team had an impressive week of practices. I asked him who was the toughest DB he faced all week. “Brandon Harris is one of the best I have ever gone against”, said Green.
Green wasn’t the only soon to be Georgia Bulldog to play in the game; he had two future teammates with him. Green said “We’ve got an Offensive Lineman and Running Back from the Red Team” and was talking about Ben Jones and Carlton Thomas. He also told me that he loves Randy Moss and models his game after him.
Green told me that he plans on enrolling to Georgia on June 8th to start summer school. Right now he plays basketball for his high school so he doesn’t have a lot of time to spare. With the time that he does have, Green said “I need to get in the weight room, as soon as basketball is over, I will spend a lot of time in the weight room.”
Green doesn’t have a lot of holes in his game. He’s a tall WR with great hands and playmaking ability. Come next year, Matthew Stafford will love having this big target from South Carolina around.
